About Course

Transitioning to high school can feel overwhelming for any child, but for students with literacy difficulties, the shift is even bigger. This course is designed to support parents and carers as they prepare their child for this important stage. You’ll gain practical tools, knowledge of education systems, and reassurance that you’re not alone.

Across four videos and a practical workbook, you’ll learn how to:

  • Build a simple, powerful learning profile for your child that highlights strengths and needs.

  • Navigate orientation days and advocate for extra transition support if needed.

  • Put practical organisation systems in place to reduce stress and fatigue.

  • Understand the resources, rights, and provisions available to families of students with learning difficulties.

The aim of this course is simple: to empower you as a parent so you can help your child feel confident, supported, and ready for high school.
